None. Herald Pro does not collect any personal information, usage analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or any other data from your device.
How Herald Pro Works
Herald Pro is a text-to-speech application that runs entirely on your Windows device. It converts text to speech using locally-installed neural voice models (Kokoro TTS) and Windows built-in speech synthesis (SAPI). No text, audio, or other content ever leaves your device.
Internet Access
Herald Pro requires a one-time internet connection to download the Kokoro TTS voice model (~320 MB) on first use. After the model is downloaded, the application functions completely offline. No data is uploaded during or after this download.
Microsoft Store
Herald Pro is distributed through the Microsoft Store. Microsoft may collect data related to your Store account, purchase, and app installation as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. This data collection is handled by Microsoft, not by Herald Pro or Carolina Clear Tech, LLC.
Third-Party Services
Herald Pro does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
Herald Pro does not collect data from any users, including children. The app is suitable for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Since Herald Pro collects no data, we do not anticipate material changes.
