What ClearDark Does

ClearDark applies a dark color theme to websites you visit. That's it.

What We Collect

Nothing.

• No personal data
• No browsing history
• No website URLs
• No analytics or telemetry
• No crash reports
• No usage statistics

Network Requests

ClearDark makes zero network requests. It never contacts our servers or any third-party servers. It works entirely offline.

Data Storage

ClearDark stores your preferences (dark mode on/off, whitelisted sites) in your browser's local storage. This data:

• Never leaves your browser
• Is not synced to any server
• Is deleted when you uninstall the extension

Permissions Explained

• activeTab: Required to apply dark mode CSS to the current page. Only activates when you interact with the extension.
• storage: Required to remember your on/off preference and site whitelist across sessions.

We do not request permissions for tabs, webRequest, cookies, history, or any other sensitive browser API.

Third Parties

We share no data with third parties because we collect no data.

Children's Privacy

ClearDark does not collect data from any users, including children. The extension is suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. We will never add data collection without notifying users first.
